Hi — I'm a photographer who fell in love with the oldest computer art form there is. I shoot photos and translate them into ASCII: grids of characters where brightness becomes density and detail becomes texture.

Each piece starts as a real photograph. Then it goes through a conversion process — choosing the character set, the resolution, the contrast — until the image reads just as well in glyphs as it did in pixels. Some pieces stay monochrome like an old terminal; some keep the colors of the original scene.

I document the process on TikTok: before/after reveals, experiments that fail and experiments that work.

I'm building my own ASCII conversion app, so anyone can turn their photos into character art. It's in the works — follow on TikTok to catch the launch.
